Very excited to feature two very different but exciting ensembles this Sunday; we welcome back local favourites Super Raelene Harmonium Band and introduce a brand new string trio - the Middle Fiddle Trio!
Middle Fiddle Trio features the compositions and arrangements of Mpartwe's newest string specialist, Liam King, who moved from Tasmania to take on the role of Steiner string teacher. Little fiddle, middle fiddle, paradiddle fiddle, they are the fiddles from the Middle, with Liam King on viola, Gleny Rae on fiddle and Billy Black on guitar playing bush tunes old and new.
Super Raelene Harmonium Band is a big beat desert band featuring, as the name suggests, the hypnotic drones and tones of the harmonium. An uplifting and spiritual experience, Super Raelene Harmonium Band could be the genetic mutation of Cat Stevens and a Sufi band. Don't miss the exquisite vocal harmonies and driving beats of this unique local band.
Dinner and drinks available, thanks to the amazing Korean culinary influence of Watertank Cafe manager Christy and her lovely staff.
Doors from 4.45pm, show starts at 5.15pm. The ever popular open mic session kicks off at 7pm, but get your name on the blackboard early, as it always fills up! Two songs per act please!
$20 at the door, or $10 for ASFC members.
