Beginners' Smartphone Bird Photography Workshop

No technical jargon! Just clear guidance on composition, lighting and simple editing tricks to capture beautiful photos! The course will cover:

• composition (top 3 professional tips to transform your photos)
• phone settings - exposure adjustment, burst mode, focus points
• 'working the light' - how to choose the best conditions
• zoom vs cropping
• positioning your photo - how to tell a creative story in the image
• lots of practice and time for question

There will be a 10 mins walk during the course to a set location at Alfred Cove for practical work and a 10 mins walk back to Atwell Gallery to work on photos taken during the walk.

Bring your smartphone (iPhone or Android) along. No prior photography experience needed.

Your course leader is Tanita Seton, a professional photographer specialising in smartphone photography. Recognising that everyone has a smartphone capable of taking great photos, Tanita has developed Beginners' Smartphone Photography Workshops to give people confidence to take amazing photos.
