The Royal Deeside Golf Week (RDGW) is a 72-hole Stableford event for all golfers played in late July each year. Established in 2003, the RDGW is very popular with players from across the UK and overseas. Additional places have been added for the 2025 tournament.
Separate Women and Gents individual stableford competitions are held daily with prizes awarded across three divisions together with the overall female and male champion of the week.
Play is in 3-balls by gender on a daily carousel basis over the four courses (Banchory, Aboyne, Ballater & Braemar) adjoining the River Dee here on beautiful Aberdeenshire, Scotland. The maximum playing handicap is 36.
There is an optional social programme in the evenings. The cost of the week is £200 which includes all green fees, prizes and a ‘welcome pack’ from our various sponsors.
A built-in midweek ‘Rest Day’ on the Wednesday allows golfers to explore the nearby royal residence Balmoral Castle, the Cairngorms National Park, Whisky distilleries, the stunning Dunnottar Castle or the wonderful Aberdeenshire coastline and the ‘Granite City’. For those wanting to play more golf we can arrange preferential rates at other nearby courses along the spectacular River Dee.
A short video outlining the RDGW, together with flyovers of the four courses, can be found on our website www.royaldeesidegolfweek.co.uk
