What Is Culinary Medicine?

The field of culinary medicine brings healthier cooking and
eating practices to people who need them. It is an evidence-
based means of helping people to implement new habits that
can improve their own health and the health of populations they
serve.

With dozens of recipe frameworks and associated resources—
and, most importantly, an approach for how to cook healthfully
everyday—Mix It Up pairs culinary knowledge with nutrition
science, recipes, and essential kitchen skills and equipment
guides to enable anyone to eat more healthfully. It also offers a

audiences of patients, students, health professionals, or others.
