Join us for an unforgettable evening celebrating the award-winning wines of Koonara Wines, a boutique, family-owned winery from Coonawarra, South Australia. Owned by Dru and Nicole Reschke, Koonara is renowned for its certified organic vineyards, sustainable practices, and minimal-intervention winemaking.
Their wines are vegan-friendly, low in sulphur, and crafted to reflect the unique character of Coonawarra’s famed terra rossa soils and the cool-climate influence of Mount Gambier.
This exclusive event pairs a curated five-course menu with Koonara’s premium wine selection, showcasing a journey of elegant flavours and thoughtful craftsmanship.

Guardian Angel Sparkling Chardonnay
A crisp, zesty sparkling wine with notes of green apple, lemon zest, and creamy almonds. Fine bubbles and a refreshing finish set the tone for the evening.
First Course: Mooloolaba Prawns
Fresh local prawns served with creamy avocado mousse, fragrant dill, crisp julienned apple, and a sweet-spicy honey-chilli vinaigrette
Paired with: Lucy & Alice Pinot Gris
An aromatic and balanced white with flavours of pear, apple, and honeysuckle, finished with a smooth, creamy texture.
Second Course: Kingfish Ceviche
Delicate kingfish cured in coconut, lime, chilli, and coriander, served with cucumber ribbons and toasted grilled ciabatta
Paired with: Angel’s Footprints Sauvignon Blanc
Vibrant tropical fruit notes and bright acidity from Mount Gambier’s cool climate. Clean and crisp on the finish.
Third Course: Braised Beef Cheek
Slow-cooked in red wine with root vegetables, served over mashed potatoes and finished with shavings of pecorino
Paired with: Wanderlust Cabernet Sauvignon
A classic Coonawarra red with intense flavours of chocolate, mint, blueberry, and tobacco. Rich and full-bodied with a lingering finish.
Fourth Course: Grilled Eye Fillet
Perfectly grilled eye fillet with sautéed mushrooms, baby spinach, crispy bacon, and a rosemary-scented red wine jus
Paired with: Ambriel’s Gift Cabernet Sauvignon
From low-yielding vines and aged 26 months in French oak, this wine offers complex layers of dark fruit, mint, leather, and vanilla spice.
Fifth Course: Strawberry Cheesecake Tart
Fresh strawberries blended with cream cheese and folded into whipped cream, set in a buttery tart shell and topped with fluffy meringue
Paired with: Flowers for Lucy Moscato
A gently sparkling, drier-style Moscato with delicate notes of rose petals, strawberry, jasmine, and musk.
