Be ready with your goals for the day and the season. Don't know where to start? Just ask!
Make sure you have water for yourself and your dog.
Contact Al Burkhart at 585-704-4394 for your birds. If you text, please make sure to include your name! Also, please be courteous - if you did not order birds ahead of time, please make sure that everyone who pre-ordered has their birds first.
We will organize into groups: Puppy/NA, GD, UT/Finished dogs. If you aren't sure where you fit in, please ask, we're all here to help! We will have whiteboards and running orders for each group to ensure that everyone gets an opportunity to work with their dogs. Please do not just choose a field and start training.
Rather than running your dog and then heading right out, consider sticking around! Offer to help out, walk with other groups in the field and watch other dogs/handlers, ask to see how birds are planted/drags are done/etc - this is one of the BEST ways to learn!

REMEMBER: If you are not a member of NAVHDA National, you MUST fill out and sign a release form to participate We will have copies available. In addition, gunners at tests and trials must also be NAVHDA National members.
