Walk for Hope – Suicide Prevention & Mental Health Awareness Event
Join us for the 3rd Annual Walk for Hope, a powerful community event focused on suicide prevention, mental health awareness, and healing.

About this Event

Whether you’ve been personally affected or simply want to show your support, this is a space for connection, remembrance, and hope. We are proud to share that Mrs. Amber Seymour, MS, School-Based Mental Health Therapist for Alexander City Schools, will be the guest speaker at this year’s Walk for Hope event. Mrs. Seymour will speak on her deep passion for supporting students and serving our community—offering encouragement, insight, and hope to families navigating mental health challenges.



What to Expect:
  • A short community walk to raise awareness
  • Guest speakers and words of encouragement
  • Food, snow cones, music, and family-friendly activities
  • Local mental health and recovery resources
  • Free T-shirts for the first 50 registered participants!

This event is free and open to the public. All ages welcome.Let’s walk together to show that hope is always within reach.

Opening Ceremony

Info: Opening ceremony will begin. Welcome by Ashley Williams, Tallapoosa CARES. Greetings from Emi Brooks, Prevention Director, Integrea Community Mental Health System. Posting of the Colors presented by Benjamin Russell High School NJROTC led by Commander John Walker. Pledge of Allegiance. Followed by greeting from Audrey Colvin City of Alexander City, City Council. Greetings from City of Dadeville and the Dadeville Community Equitable Neighborhood Initiative. Opportunity for those that would like to share their story. Guest Speaker: Mrs. Amber Seymour, MS, School-Based Mental Health Therapist for Alexander City Schools. Moment of Silence and Prayer for the Journey through the Grief.

Walk begins
Host: Integrea Mental Health

Info: Walk will begin directly after the ceremony and will take approximately 15 minutes. Following the walk there will be a closing ceremony and group photo with all participants, sponsors, vendors, and supporters. Recognition of sponsors, planning committee, CARES members, partners, and volunteers.
