The Texas Interscholastic Cycling League is hosting a meet and greet at the Parks of Aledo Park East pavilion (681 Lookout Point Avenue, Aledo, TX 76008) on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 1:00pm. This free, beginner-friendly event is a great way for 5th–12th grade students and their families to explore what mountain biking with NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) is all about. No experience is necessary! Hosted by local youth mountain bike teams in the DFW area, this “Try It Out” ride gives you a chance to:
§ Discover how to get a team started in Parker County
§ Meet friendly coaches and student-athletes
§ Learn basic bike skills in a safe, supportive environment
§ Take part in a relaxed, no-pressure trail ride

Event Schedule:
1:00 pm - 2:00 pm — Bike games
2:00 pm - 3:00 pm — Group Trail Ride for All Skill Levels
What to Bring:
§ A working bike (need one? Let us know—we may have loaners)
§ A helmet
§ Water
§ Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes
§ A positive attitude and a sense of adventure
Who Can Attend?:
§ Students in grades 5–12
§ Parents/guardians are welcome (and encouraged!) to attend, learn more, and connect with local coaches.
