Join us for a day filled with deliciousness to decide for yourself who makes the sweetest dessert in the Greenbrier Valley!
This event is part of Alderson Strawberry Festival and takes place at Sunset Berry Farm.
Simply buy tasting tickets (10 for $30) online or upon arrival at the STRAWBERRY admission tent if any are left. Tastings are 1 ticket each. Guests may purchase as many tastings from as many tasting booths as your sweet tooth can handle! The tasting booth that collects the most tickets will take home the 1st place trophy and deemed the sweetest baker in the valley!
If you have a passion for making desserts (professional or amateur), please consider entering your deserts in the 3rd annual tasting event & bakery contest on May 24, 2025 (10am-6pm) at Sunset Berry Farm. A refundable deposit of $10 will be charged upon registration and this amount will be refunded to you following the event. In addition, you will be paid $2.75 for each tasting sold at your booth. Simply collect all your tickets and turn them in after the event to be paid.
Participants may prepare as many desserts as you’d like and bring as many servings of each item as you’d like. Remember, the tasting booth turning in the most tickets will win the contest so it’s in your best interest to bring as many tastings as possible.
Please cut tastings into serving size pieces valued at $3 each.
The dishes will be covered with Saran Wrap or in a dish with a lid. There is no need to package individual portions.
Tastings will be served on a napkin using tongs.
Participants/contestants should wear gloves when serving tastings.
Participants/contestants should bring enough napkins for all tastings.
Choose any dessert dish you’d like as long as the item is not required to be refrigerated.

Please have the name of the tasting item(s) and allergy information visible on your table. You may also display your name and name of bakery, if you are a professional.
Finally, please bring a decorated container to collect your tickets.
