The Langley Hospice Society & Langley Lodge’s Annual Butterfly Release is hosted by Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, located at 6179 – 248th Street in Langley on Saturday, August 9, 2025. This annual fundraising event attracts hundreds of guests who participate in this poignant celebration in the beautiful gardens onsite. Butterflies are released by all ages, in honor of loved ones, in celebration, and in memory – all in support of a great cause.
The event is open to the public, & happens between 12:30pm and 3pm at Krause Berry farms. Please arrive early, as the event is well attended, & parking will take some time. The Butterfly Release will happen promptly at 1:30pm, & will see 400 Painted Lady Butterflies take flight for the first time amongst the beautiful gardens on the grounds.
With limited #’s of butterflies available, pre-ordering is recommended for those who want to participate in the actual release. In addition to the spectacular butterflies in flight, this fun & inspirational event will see entertainment, children’s crafts & activities, live music & everything else that Krause Berry Farms has to offer with their wine tasting room, waffle bar, café & market place – there is really something for everyone!!

This is an annual fundraising event, made possible by generous support from Krause Berry Farms and Estate Winery, and Flutterbuys.
Funds raised will benefit two important Langley organizations, the Langley Hospice Society (www.langleyhospice.ca), who provide palliative and bereavement care and support to meet the growing needs of the children, teens, adults and families they serve and the Langley Care Foundation, that enriches the lives of the elderly served by the Langley Lodge (www.langleylodge.org).
