The Party Animals play 70's N 80's Classic Rock band from Melbourne.
To keep the sound fresh the band invites friends along to play and so the lineup evolves.
The band was created in 1983 as the “Music Industry Night Band” for the Corner Hotel which brought together a collection of very gifted musicians. The band and the punters just couldn't get enough of music from the likes of Pink Floyd, The Rolling Stones, INXS, Eric Clapton, Angels, Billy Idol, Joe Cocker & Dragon.
In fact, Pink Floyd came to the Corner Hotel and were so impressed they got up and jammed with the band!
Their unique brand of entertainment fuses 70's and 80's guitar sounds with a defining drum beat and tight harmonies. Punchy guitar solos, witty stage banter, and all round good fun that involves the crowd and will make you want to dance and sing along all night to your favorite songs.
Now hailed as one of Melbourne's original Pub Rock bands, The Party Animals have been performing together for over 30 years and have toured New Zealand and Tasmania and, performed as a headline band at Broadford & Bacchus Marsh Strawberry Festival. They have had numerous residencies, including the Mordy HQ, Lucky 13 Garage, Eddies Bandroom, Naked Racer, Arcobar, the Manhattan in Ringwood and The Acorn. They also regularly enjoy playing at regional festivals and hotels.
