The One Night Slam

Hello Friends and Fiends!

In honor of poetry month and to help celebrate both the Chicharra Poetry Festival and the BlackBerry Peach Poetry Festival (coming in June), we are having an invitational slam.

This is the only time we are doing this and we already have some very heavy hitters that are going to compete in this classic three round slam. The second round of the slam will be a "New Sh*t" theme, so bring something few people have heard before to share. (No Feature/No Open Mic)

The One Night Slam is hosted by Manuel Gonzalez and features some of ABQ's fiercest competitors.

This event will also serve as a community meet & greet. If you run an open mic, slam, or anything else poetry related, please come out to network or send us a summary of your event and we will share it with the audience.

If you want to compete in this event, please send me (Katrina Kaye) a message. We will also have up to four open spots the night of for any walk ins. First come, first serve.

Keep your eyes open for more details and a list of competitors as they sign up. I haven't created an event for a while, but I am hoping this will be a fun one.
