ngVLA Community Listening Session - Albuquerque

The NSF National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NSF NRAO) is organizing two Community Listening Sessions – one in Albuquerque, NM and one in Alamo, NM – as part of our ongoing efforts to engage with the local community about the Next Generation Very Large Array (ngVLA) project.

This session aims to inform residents about the overall ngVLA plan, discuss the scientific possibilities, and provide a platform for community members to ask questions and express their concerns.

What is the ngVLA?

The Next-Generation Very Large Array (ngVLA) is a proposed, much more capable radio telescope array inspired by the NSF NRAO's Very Large Array. The ngVLA project proposal calls for 263 dishes reaching across North America (with most in the US Southwest) that will work together to enable new astronomical discoveries.
