John Bush is a founding - and current - member of the popular 90s band Edie Brickell and the New Bohemians. He's touring Texas and New Mexico with his new book "Queen Daffodil's Demise" a dystopian sci-fi novel.
After traveling the world playing and recording music with the New Bohemians; playing and recording with such as Bo Diddly, James Brown, Paul Simon, and Bob Weir; and establishing himself as one of Austin’s go-to drummer/percussionists with such acts as The Patrice Pike Band and the legendary Greezy Wheels, is embarking on a solo performance/book tour on which, along with reading from his novel, he plans to incorporate musical elements with spoken word pieces. As part of his performance, he will be creating ambient percussion loops live and performing over them, while beat reading from different pieces he has written.
