🎉 Artisan is turning 50! 🎉
This July marks 50 years of serving New Mexico’s creative community — and we couldn’t be more honored.
It all started in July 1975 on Canyon Road in Santa Fe, where Bill Banta and Jack Young opened an art supply store nestled among the galleries. From there, Ernie, Ron, Dennis, and Paul helped Artisan grow, expanding to Taos and Albuquerque.
Today, the Albuquerque store is owned by Jerry and Brittany Hepworth, and the Santa Fe location is owned by Paul and Diane Bell — and we’re proud to continue this legacy of creativity, community, and curated supplies from around the globe.
Over the decades, some of the best artists in the world have walked through our doors. And now, we invite YOU to walk through and celebrate with us!
