The Filipino Martial Arts differs from almost every other other combat system in that it starts the beginning student with a weapon in hand, guiding them to advanced and practical self-defense survival skills. Weapon training is the foundational basis of empty-hand skill development. It builds ultra-precision attacks, counter-attacks, supreme speed and strength.
Tuhon David Akrish explains, demonstrates and teaches how all weapon maneuvers are meant for modern, self-defense combat purposes…weapon or no weapon.
The speed of a weapon sharpens the neurological response when faced with a combat situation and becoming proficient in weapons accelerates empty-hand skills.

1) MUST OBSERVE first class session before deciding to become an ongoing student.
2) Students MUST be a resident of ABQ & become a member of the ABQ Community Center
