Join our 4th Fall Project Day at Hoof & Heart

For this project day we are working on the north side of the farm. This year, unfortunately, our arena has been mostly used for turnout. (Pictured are three blind standardbred geldings, Humorous, Castaway and Mighty Oak). But we will have raked the arena with the tractor, dropped a few loads of sand, and it will need finishing. Similarly, the pen Ali and Nose used to be in will be getting topped off with soil and gravel and will need to be raked around the fenceliness too--and there is plenty of fence to repair and paint over there, as well as shelter repairs needed. Finally, if there's time, the big north shed in the standardbred geezer pen needs a number of boards in the front replace. How much we get done depends on how much help we have, but we will start with the arena because the following day (Sun, 9/28) will be our volunteer riding and working with horses event for September. Come join us for an hour or 3. Help with feeding and mucking chores or working on the arena or any of the north side shelters. Come alone, bring a friend, family or group. We have a lot fo work to do to be ready for winter, and you can make a real difference in the lives of formerly homeless horses. We hope to see you Saturday, the 27th.
