The Legal Project's Anniversary Dinner “30 Years of Justice”

Join Us to Celebrate 30 Years of Justice and Impact

Please join The Legal Project on Saturday, October 25, 2025, from 6:00–9:00 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Albany – The Desmond Hotel (660 Albany Shaker Road, Albany, NY) for our 30th Anniversary Dinner — a very special evening honoring three decades of advancing justice and strengthening communities across the Capital Region.

For the past 30 years, The Legal Project has provided critical legal services and representation to tens of thousands of individuals and families in 11 counties across New York State. From survivors of domestic violence and families facing foreclosure, to immigrants, veterans, seniors, and small business owners, our staff, pro bono attorneys, and volunteers have stood beside those who needed legal help the most.

This milestone evening will include:

• A visual timeline showcasing the evolution of The Legal Project — from its founding roots to today’s dynamic programs.
• Heartfelt stories and testimonials highlighting the life-changing impact of our work.
• A look ahead at how we’re expanding services and meeting the legal needs of tomorrow’s communities.
• Special recognitions honoring our Founders, early Leaders, and key supporters whose dedication has made our mission possible.
• Cocktail reception and dinner, with opportunities to connect, reflect, and celebrate with fellow supporters, volunteers, and staff.

This dinner is more than a celebration — it’s a tribute to the collective effort that has made justice more accessible and lives more secure. It’s also a moment to come together and envision the next 30 years of impact.

Speakers will include:

• Monice Barbero, Esq., Chief Executive Officer of The Legal Project
• Sabrina Mosseau, BS RN, who is serving as our 30th Anniversary Honorary Chair, and is a prior recipient of the Capital Region Chamber Woman of Excellence Award, To Life! Extra Mile Award, YWCA Resourceful Woman Award and Siena College Professor Egon Plager Award. Ms. Mosseau supports victims of domestic violence and their families and is a champion of The Legal Project.

We will also honor Founders and Leaders of The Legal Project.

Cocktail Hour at 6:00 p.m. features Open Bar, Hors D’oeuvres & live music.

Dinner and program will begin at 7:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are: $175 for General Admission, $250 for Honorary Committee members or $400 per couple and $125 for Newly Admitted Attorneys.
