Discover the joy of painting small in this fun and creative workshop where you’ll create your own miniature 3” x 4” painting—and leave with it beautifully framed and ready to display. Choose your own subject—whether it’s a scenic landscape, a playful pet portrait, a track hat, or a classic bowl of fruit. The possibilities are endless, and the format makes it easy to explore a new idea or celebrate something you love. You’ll work in the medium of your choice—watercolor, gouache, or acrylic—and bring your own miniature brushes and reference material, already sized down to fit the small format. You’re welcome to trace your image if that helps you get started.
Kris will provide a ready-to-paint surface and guide you through the process, including assembling your finished artwork into a custom frame so you leave with a polished piece that’s perfect for gifting, collecting, or showing off. Please note: Supplies are not included in the cost of the workshop.
Perfect for artists of all levels looking to try something different in a relaxed, supportive environment. Come make something small—but mighty.
Please note that our classes are typically held in the lower level of Arlene's. Because access to the lower level is available only by stair, please let us know if using the stairs presents any difficulty for you in advance of the class so we can make alternate arrangements. We want to make sure everyone is able to enjoy and participate in our classes.
