Victor Villegas, Broadband & Digital Technologies Adoption Coordinator

Victor Villegas is the Broadband & Digital Technologies Adoption Coordinator at Oregon State University. He is a creative bilingual (English/Spanish) technologist, futurist, STEAM edutainer and teaching artist with a passion for helping people learn how to use technology to improve their work and lives. He works with communities, organizations, schools, local governments, and industry to help bridge the digital divide. His main focus areas are AI, Cybersecurity, and workforce development. Fun Fact: Victor is also known “DroneSinger” - the “Weird AL of drones,” world’s number one creator of parody songs about drones. He leverages this “fame” to do K-12 STEM/STEAM education, using the Arts and technology to engage underserved, underrepresented youth who might not normally gravitate towards STEM subjects. Victor also started and leads the statewide Oregon Broadband Equity Coalition (OBEC) and the AI Oregon K-12 Collaborative.

“Fall Harvest”! That’s our $1 per ticket monthly drawing theme for October! Let’s celebrate the bounty of the season with the Fall Harvest Raffle. Embrace crisp autumn air, vibrant leaves, and the cozy spirit of gathering. Each ticket gives you the chance to win festive prizes inspired by the richness of fall – think pumpkin spiced treats, cozy throws, and seasonal décor! Let’s include Halloween fun!
Our charity of the month is Marion Polk Food Share. If you bring canned food, you’ll receive one ticket for the Fall Harvest Raffle.
In addition, we have TWO 50/50 drawings again this year! Tickets are $5 each. The first drawing is from September – December. We will draw a winner who will take home some Grinch Greenbacks at the December meeting! The second 50/50 drawing will go from February – June and some lucky person will win Summer Escape Cash at our June meeting!
