Successivamente alla WWE approda in New Japan Pro Wrestling e nel maggio 2022 diventa NJPW Strong Openweight Champion battendo Tom Lawlor e mantenendo il titolo contro grandi nomi quali Big Damo, TJP, Jonathan Gresham e Peter Avalon,fino ad essere sconfitto nel febbraio 2023 da KENTA.
