Techs on Decks 2025

SAVE THE DATE: We're excited to share Techs on Decks 2025 will take place Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10 AM to 5 PM aboard the historic USS Hornet in Alameda, CA! Is there a future for you in technology? This question is broader than you might think!

Whether you love gaming, designing, inventing, or helping people, there’s a tech path for you. Explore your interests, try new skills, and discover careers that make a difference—while opening doors to exciting opportunities and big payoffs! On the anniversary of the Apollo 12 Moon mission—when the USS Hornet served as the recovery ship—we are hosting a full-day event for students ages 8 to 18 to explore the promise of technology.

Our activities will include space exploration leaders, robotics events, AI, and industry interaction – plus, free Domino’s pizza on the decks of our legendary aircraft carrier. https://uss-hornet.org/techsondecks/

📢 Special 1-hour Docent-led tours will be running all day long, of the USS Hornet’s:

• Flight Deck – air traffic control, catapult, arresting gear
• Engine Room – operation and power management
• Power Generation – from salt water to steam
• Navigation – compass, navigation room instruments
• Combat Information Center and Radio Central
