Join us every Saturday from 10 AM – 12 PM at Malaya Botanicals in Alameda for an in-person class in Filipino Martial Arts (FMA).
We practice Visayan Style Corto Kadena Larga Mano (VSCK), the art founded by the late Maestro Sonny Umpad, a visionary teacher of movement, rhythm, and flow. VSCK is known for its fluid and evasive movement, emphasizing timing, adaptability, and practical application.
In class, we focus on:
- Partner drills and live exchange to build timing and reflexes
- Movement training for agility, balance, and longevity
- A welcoming community rooted in Filipino martial heritage
This is an adult class, but children are welcome to join if accompanied by a parent or guardian who can help guide them during training.
All levels are welcome. No experience required — just bring comfortable clothes, water, and an open mind.
