Volunteer Training Session (Option 2)

Hello future Akron Pride Festival volunteers! Thanks for your interest in attending one of our volunteer training events. This session will cover important festival information, the volunteer tasks that will be available for sign-up, and some educational background (LGBTQ+ 101 and cultural humility discussions).

To attend, please register on CERVIS, our volunteer management website. Returning volunteers can log in to their existing profile, and new volunteers will be asked to create one. You can RSVP for this training session at the following link:

This session will be held in-person at the Akron Library (Main Branch), but virtual attendance is also possible. (A Zoom link will be sent to all volunteers registered for the event on CERVIS closer to the training date.) Refreshments will be provided for in-person attendees, and all volunteers who attend a training session (virtual or in-person) will receive early access to shift sign-up for a better chance to claim the volunteer job of your choice!

The session will be held in room 2AB at the library (across from the auditorium). Parking is available in the attached High/Market Parking deck (a voucher is available at the library security desk to cover 1 hour of parking). A training session will also be held at the Cuyahoga Falls Library the morning of August 2nd if that works better for your schedule (you do not need to attend both sessions).
