September 11, Akron ArtWalk–The Art of Recovery: Supporting the Community Through Healing
Although our building will be under construction for a while, we are pleased to be able to host a fully outdoor version of the ArtWalk for our local artists and community! We are hosting this quarterly celebration of the arts on Thursday, September 11, from 5 to 9 p.m., with this month's theme focused on recovery and building a strong partnership with our veteran community. Admission is free and open to the public at participating venues.
Visitors to the ArtWalk will find a host of recovery resources and art activities for the whole family:
-The Akron-Summit County Public Library will be onsite with the Bookmobile.
-A Sensory Friendly Accessibility Station will offer a calming atmosphere and feature various Accessibility Library items.
As always, ArtWalk features opportunities for visitors to appreciate and purchase art and meet local artists:
-Akron Bazaar vendors will sell handmade goods and artworks!
More programming information will be announced in the coming weeks! Check back often for updates and visit our website,

Artwalk is funded, in part, by a grant from the Mary S. and David C. Corbin Foundation.
