Worm Composting Workshop at Whitsunday Community Gardens

🌱 Come and learn all about creating and using the “black gold” that plants and vegetables absolutely love and need to thrive. Here in the tropics our vegetable gardens face many pests, and improving plant health with good soil is one way to deter your harvest from disappearing to pests! We will also do a live demonstration setting up a worm compost station at the gardens, followed by a morning tea.

✨ Delivered by Lucy Smith, Whitsundays’ very own sustainability consultant and founder of Zero Waste Solutions. Lucy is a passionate and engaging educator who works with local schools, councils and businesses to deliver workshops on waste reduction and sustainable living, and has a wealth of knowledge to share on vermicomposting.
