As part of the Great Barrier Reef Festival, Coral Sea Marina are hosting a Seagrass Nursery “Talk & Tour” with CQ University and Reef Catchments. All are invited for a morning of discovery and action alongside marine experts as we explore the vital role of seagrass meadows in our local ecosystem.
This free community event is a rare opportunity to get hands-on with marina restoration and speak directly with leading scientists.
Meet with the scientists from CQ University any time between 8am – 11am at the Seagrass Nursery on A Arm, Coral Sea Marina. Learn, ask questions, and make your own ‘seagrass ball’.
Alternatively, join us at the scheduled ‘talk times’ at 8.30am, 9.30am and 10.30am.
Whisper Cruises will also be offering complimentary boat tours to the local seagrass meadow where attendees can replant their seagrass balls (and hopefully spot the local turtles!)
This event is free but numbers are strictly limited for both the seagrass nursery and the boat tours – bookings are essential! RSVP to
