“Scripted Dialogues – A Calligraphic Conversation” is a distinctive exhibition that explores the cultural interplay between France and India through the expressive medium of calligraphy.
Curated by Padmaja Srivastava the exhibition features a series of calligraphic paintings that visually interpret the shared influences and resonances between these two rich traditions.
Each piece showcases Indian regional scripts—such as Kannada Gurmukhi Punjabi Devanagari (Marathi and Hindi) Tamil Urdu Bengali and Gujarati—beautifully interlaced with French motifs and themes. Through this interplay of scripts and styles the exhibition celebrates language and calligraphy as powerful bridges that connect diverse cultural landscapes.
