What is Solus Christus?
Solus Christus is a non-profit Christian ministry for women seeking freedom from substance abuse addiction. We are a first step for them, a home to begin their recovery journey. We are primarily supported financially by individuals and churches and through fundraising efforts such as the fundraising gala. What can I expect at the event?
The In Christ Alone: Solus Christus Fundraising Gala is a dinner and presentation on the work of Solus Christus, with its primary goal being a fundraising event to support the ongoing work of Solus Christus. We are looking for attendees who desire to come out and support Solus Christus financially. Without your financial donations, we cannot continue the work of pouring the gospel into the lives of the women who come and stay at Solus Christus.
Is there a cost to attend the event?
There is no registration or ticket cost, instead we ask that those who come have a desire to support Solus Christus financially and be willing and ready to do so that night.
Ways to Attend:
There are two ways to attend: either as a guest or as a table host. A guest simply means you're attending yourself, and or with a friend/spouse/significant other. When you RSVP you advise us whether you're a party of one or two. We'll assign you to a table for the evening. A table host is explained below.
Is there a dress policy?
This is a formal event, i.e. suits and dresses.
What is a table host and how can I be one?
A table host is someone who commits to two things:
1- Filling your table of 10 with guests, including yourself assuming you're attending, with people you know (if you can't completely fill your table, for example you can only get 8 people at your table, that's okay too - we expect we'll have individual guests that we'll place at tables which aren't full).
2 - Pay $500 as a table host, this cost goes towards the food and cost of the event. The $500 is due June 1st, made payable by check to Solus Christus, mailed to PO Box 416, East Bend NC 27018.
What if I can't attend but want to help with the event?
We are accepting donations towards the event itself, for example if you'd like to donate $500, or more, then that would go towards a table of 10 that we would fill with individual guests attending.
