As part of the Guitars in Bars program for 2025, Sturt Avenue are returning to Adelaide's finest establishment, the Wheatsheaf Hotel. Bringing with them old and new friends for an evening of warm alternative sounds - different folk for different folks.
STURT AVENUE:
Sturt Avenue is an indie folk/Australiana band led by SCALA award winning singer-songwriter Bryn Soden. The music of Sturt Avenue is built from a strong foundation of familial bonds and cherished friendships, covering themes of love, loss, and that intangible, indescribable feeling that comes to you at the end of a long night of singing, dancing, drinking, and laughing with the people you love.

Blending sounds from Southeast Asia and contemporary indie-pop, Koleh is always experimenting with unique and dreamy sounds in his music.
SOPHIE ELSTER:
First loves of Folk and poetry and a Conservatorium education in Jazz are combined by Sophie Elster as they write Aesop pop on Kaurna land. Raised on Bach, The Chicks, and Missy Higgins, their autobiographical music sings a message—to their past self, their future self, and their sometimes-audience.
