About the event

New Year’s Eve at The Wheaty
Bromham and The Wheaty are teaming up to bring you another New Years Eve Extravaganza!

This years lineup features some of SAs most amazing song writers and music makers all for your enjoyment at the low low price of… FREE!!! So come and bring in the new year in joyous fashion with us at our favourite pub.

THE LINEUP:
Bromham:
Bromham is a community of musicians whose passion for music, life and joyful silliness is infectious. They take influences from all over the world and create songs that tell stories about the people closest to them. Their live show is a raucous celebration that never fails to leave audiences feeling uplifted. Hailing from the Adelaide Hills, this big family is becoming well loved all around Australia from their numerous festival appearances at the likes of Womadelaide and Woodford Folk Festival. Come and find out why audiences are falling in love with this joyous bunch!

Anya Anastasia (with band):
Anya Anastasia creates experimental art-rock with global influences, made in Adelaide, South Australia. Anya's lyrics ask questions about our society, conspiring to stir dissent and environmental action. Amidst the grind of modern industrial life, her songs transcribe wonders of the natural world

Jamie Lena (with band):
Alternative soul singer/songwriter, Jamie Lena makes music to feel into the heart space, writing melodies both honest and infectiously joyful. With plenty of groove and soul, Jamie draws inspiration from RnB/neo/soul/folk wonders, such Joni Mitchell, Erykah Badu, Carole King. A voice of milk and honey sings love, life and heartache, the effort to make sense of this human experience.

Sturt ave:
Sturt Avenue is an indie folk/Australiana family band led by SCALA award-winning singer-songwriter Bryn Soden. Built from a foundation of familial bonds and cherished friendships, the band also features John Soden on mandolin and slide guitar, Gina Nott on violin, Lou Howard on banjo, Dave Thompson on lookin fly, Isaac Kerr on bass, and Bryce Lehmann on "I play the drums". Their music weaves tales of love and sorrow, threaded with that elusive, golden-hour feeling - the kind that lingers after a night of singing, dancing, drinking, and laughing with the people who know you best.
