Welcome to LAB RATS!
ILA is excited to announce our 2025 series of hands-on workshops with a focus on creative tech, shared learning and interdisciplinary collaboration.
-------------------------------
In this compact 1-week workshop, musician Andrew Lang presents an overview of Videosync – a visual engine for Ableton Live that allows users to treat video with the same processes as audio.
Andrew will explore how approaches to music production in Ableton Live can be quickly translated to video design and the potential interactions of video and audio within the software.
Designed for musicians with an existing understanding and familiarity with Ableton Live, participants will learn how the Videosync software can be implemented with live performance via Ableton to create dynamic and reactive visuals.
-------------------------------
***Week 1 [Tues, October 7th]:
Creating Live Visuals with Ableton and Videosync
Participants will explore Videosync in Ableton Live to create reactive, dynamic visuals that can accompany live music performances, using the same approach for manipulating video as they would audio in Ableton.
