Addison Circle Park – Chess in the Park

Join us for Chess in the Park — a free, drop-in chess event hosted by Sixty Four Squares every Sunday at Addison Circle Park!

Whether you’ve never played before or it’s been years since your last game, this event is all about having fun, meeting people, and enjoying chess in a low-pressure, open-air setting. We’ll have boards and pieces ready — just bring your curiosity.

We'll start off the event with some introductions followed by an optional 45-minute beginner class for anyone curious to learn. After that, everyone comes together for a full social chess experience with good vibes, no judgement, and no pressure.

• Solo? We’ll help you find a partner

Come for the chess, stay for the community. No experience needed — just swing by, take a seat, and make your Sunday a little more playful!

Info: Check-in with the host, fill out our media release form, grab a name tag, a coffee from Java & Hopps, and meet new people who share a passion for chess! No pressure, no judgement, no experience needed.

Info: If you don't know how to play, we have a dedicated professional chess coach who is there to teach how the pieces move, and the 3 basic strategies to get you started in our friendly 45 minute group class.
