we welcome you to join us for a evening of pumping making workshop £8 each refreshments included , Pumpkins are used for Halloween because of the Irish folklore of Stingy Jack, a spirit doomed to wander the earth with a glowing coal in a carved turnip to light his way. Irish immigrants brought this tradition to America, where they found larger, easier-to-carve pumpkins to be a perfect substitute for turnips and potatoes for their "Jack O' Lanterns". These carved pumpkins, or jack-o'-lanterns, were placed on doorsteps to ward off evil spirits on Halloween and to scare away the wandering soul of Stingy Jack
