Qigong is especially good for balance and relaxation. It consists of gentle, slow, flowing movements that are easy and enjoyable to do and yet strengthening and energising.
Bagua is a form of Tai chi that is done in a circle. The movements are flowing and graceful, involving turning and spiralling to change direction. It is especially good for the joints.
The workshop will be half an hour of each.
Somatics is a very effective method of relieving pain. The moments are simple and involve tightening muscles in order to release them. It helps with co-ordination and is a way of tuning in to your body. The workshop will consist of one basic somatics exercise that you can take home to practise every day.
Please bring a mat and a cushion as the exercises are done lying on the floor.
