On a rare visit to the UK, Julie Becton Gillum, artistic director of the Asheville Butoh Festival, performs her striking solo, Dusk, a response to the darkening world: images of border walls symbolise obstacles, struggle, and breakthrough.

Café Reason presents work from its current project, Body Ecologies: Beyond the Human, a discovery and celebration of the physical self and our complex and timeless relationship with the Earth.With live music from Oxford musician Malcolm Atkins.

Butoh – the radical dance form that originated in post-war Japan and set out to express ‘the hidden darkness of the body’ and the shadowy, marginal, and conflicted aspects of human experience.
