Underemployed friends Adam, Matt, and Beth are desperate to beat the recession any way they can--like combining forces to take over a small island in South America. But when a fortune cookie tells Matt that he will rule and Beth gets a little too handy with a dagger, plans go awry. This hilarious adaptation of Shakespeare's Macbeth pits friend against friend, ambition against fate, pet-sitting against miniature vicuna mogul-dom.

The cast consists of:
Matt
(Late 20s to 30s, Male)
An idealist spiraling into obsession. Matt is passionate, intelligent, and desperate for meaning and success in a world that's left him behind. He starts as a dreamer with a scheme and ends up seduced by ambition. Macbeth by way of a grad student.
Beth
(Late 20s to 30s,Female )
Witty, theatrical, and manipulative in a charming way. Beth is a sports reporter who craves greatness—not just success. She's clever and calculating, with a flair for drama and a hunger for power. Think Lady Macbeth meets a creative writing major.
Adam
(Late 20s to 30s, Male)
Sweet, sincere, and just a little bit odd. Adam is the moral compass of the trio, often the comic relief, but with surprising emotional depth. He's the kind of friend who tries to keep everyone grounded—and gets trampled for it. A loyal fool or the wisest one in the room.

Auditions are for all parts and will consist of cold readings from the script. There will be strong language in the show including in the audition selections. No acting experience necessary! Please bring a list of dates with any conflicts you might have for rehearsals. Auditions will be help on the ACT Main Stage. We look forward to your audition!
