Join Plug-In KC for Summer EVenture, a thrilling EV Road Trip this summer as EV drivers from across the region hit the open road — from the Hollywood Casino at Kansas Speedway in Kansas City, KS to the IONNA Rechargery in Abilene. This is more than just a drive: it’s proof that long-range travel with electric vehicles is easy and fun.
While our Summer EVenture spotlights the new fast-charging stations in Abilene, similar charging pitstops are popping up all along interstates throughout the United States, making EV road trips not only possible, but stress-free.

After charging up in Abilene, drivers are invited to visit the Eisenhower Presidential Library — honoring the man who once cruised around in one of America’s earliest electric cars and helped shape our national highway system.
