FAQ’s:
1. What can I bring to swap?
-Open-pollinated, Local, Organic, and commercial seed are all* allowed. Cuttings and bulbs are also welcome! (please store these in boxes or open tubs to minimize dirt inside)
2. What if I don’t have any seeds to share?
- Come anyway! We will have a stash of seeds that are free for the taking if you are just getting started.
3. How do I bring my seeds and cuttings to the swap?
- Organize your seeds, cuttings, or bulbs in any way that works for you. Cardboard boxes, envelopes, plastic bags, etc.. Don’t forget to label them so that you know what you’re swapping!
4. How should I label my seeds and cuttings?
- You are welcome to put more than the plant name on your labels, but it is not required. Some basic information that may be helpful to interested swappers include 1.Common plant name 2.Perennial or Annual 3.Color of bloom (if applicable) 4.Where the seeds were sourced (local, back yard, organic, commercial, etc..)
We will have extra labels at the tap house if you need them!
5. *Are there any seeds/plants I should NOT bring?
Yes! Please do not bring 1) Seeds or plants that are considered illegal, either federally in the United States of America or Kansas. 2) Unknown seed from volunteer plants. 3) Any plants or cuttings that are infested with mites, aphids, flies or other insects.
