Crossing Loch Faskally -

Entering the River Tummel -
At the north-western edge of Loch Faskally, you’ll transition smoothly into the River Tummel, which meanders with a gentle current. The banks here are closer, bringing you right into Scotland’s rich forest landscapes. Tall pines and oaks arch overhead, creating patches of shade and sunlight across the water. The gentle current provides a bit of extra momentum, making for a relaxing paddle as you follow the river’s twists and turns.
Approaching the Waterfall -
As you near the waterfall, the sound of rushing water guides you. The river narrows, pulling you toward a beautiful, secluded spot where water cascades over rocks into the river below. Find a calm area nearby to beach your board or float as you take a break. Enjoy a snack, rehydrate, and let the tranquility of this natural wonder soak in. The area around the falls is rich in flora, with moss-covered rocks and trees framing the waterfall, creating a lush, peaceful atmosphere.
Return Journey -
Begin your journey back downstream. The gentle current now works in your favor, providing a bit of extra ease on the way back.
As you re-enter Loch Faskally, the wide expanse of water opens up again, giving you a relaxed finish to your journey with beautiful panoramic views.
