Stay well, stay connected and learn something new about the history of the North East through objects in the city’s collection. These relaxed and sociable sessions are led by our fantastic community of local volunteers.

No need to book, just come along. These free sessions include a cup of tea / coffee and a biscuit. Everyone is welcome – we look forward to seeing you.

Get your hands on history with this eclectic collection of museum items and handle artwork by contemporary artist Christine Borland, an ear trumpet and a Victorian mourning brooch.

Explore objects from our collection that tell the story of Aberdeen's services including Police, Fire, Royal Mail, trams and buses.

Museum misfits
Aberdeen’s collection hold over 150,000 objects, collected over 140 years. Come along to hear about our new project that's reviewing over 1,000 applied art and social history objects that we might now consider to be ‘misfit’ objects in the collection. What stories do they tell and do you think we should keep them?
