About Ben White
Ben has been dancing, teaching, and performing swing for over 20 years. He has competed at the highest levels, placing in prestigious events such as ILHC, Camp Jitterbug, Stormy Weather, and Lindy Focus. Known for his clear teaching style, deep knowledge of swing history, and engaging approach to learning, Ben is an instructor you don’t want to miss.

This workshop includes the classes and the dance later that night, plus an opportunity for private lessons (available to those registered in at least one class).

Workshop Series
Beginner Lindy Hop
2:00 PM – 2:50 PM
Learn Hollywood-style Lindy Hop, developed in the 1980s and 90s by LA dancers Erik Robison and Sylvia Skylar. This class will cover Swing Outs, Circles, and essential fundamentals to build a strong foundation.
Charleston – Partnered 20s Charleston
3:00 PM – 3:50 PM
Add some flair to your dancing with fun and dynamic Partner Charleston. Explore partner connection, kicks, turns, and transitions that bring this high-energy dance to life.
Lindy and 6 count – Moves to do in Tandem All levels
4:00 PM – 4:50 PM
Explore fun Lindy Hop and 6-count patterns that work seamlessly in tandem with your partner. Build connection, rhythm, and flow while adding playful variations that fit into social dancing.
Intermediate Lindy Hop - Interpreting Swing Music as a Dancer
5:00 PM –5:50 PM
Explore different Lindy Hop styles and learn how to adapt to various rhythms and techniques.
Requirement: Must be fully comfortable with Swing Outs and Circles. If not, we recommend taking the Beginner Lindy Hop class first.
