Step into the dreamlike, phantasmagorical world of Antoinetta Angelidi’s Topos, a landmark of Greek experimental cinema and a bold feminist reimagining of women’s place in art.
Through a series of striking tableaux vivants inspired by Renaissance and surrealist masters, Angelidi fuses painting, theatre and cinema into a new visual language. Sparse, sculptural spaces are charged with ritual, metamorphosis and shifting identities. A sensorial soundscape, at once intimate and unsettling, immerses the viewer in an uncanny poetic universe where time, place and self are in constant transformation.
More than a film, Topos is a rare cinematic experience that invites the audience to inhabit a space of beauty, strangeness and radical reimagination.
