Cuban Salsa Class
The content may vary depending on participants’ preferences, but generally includes:
Introduction to salsa steps: basic step, forward & backward steps, side steps, partner openings and pauses, hip movements for women, and shoulder exercises for men
Introduction to salsa turns: right and left turns for both women and men, and variations in leading the turns
Rueda de Casino
Cross-body lead and basic footwork: following exercises for women and leading techniques for men
Partner combinations for the dance floor

Samba de Gafieira
Samba de Gafieira is a lively and elegant Brazilian partner dance that originated in Rio de Janeiro. Blending elements of samba rhythm with ballroom-style technique, it features playful footwork, smooth turns, and a dynamic connection between partners. Danced to Brazilian samba music, it combines grace, improvisation, and joyful energy. The class begins with a short warm-up to get the body moving and introduce the basic samba rhythm. Then, we move into fundamental steps and technique, focusing on partner connection, posture, and timing. Throughout the class, we build short combinations, gradually introducing turns, playful footwork, and typical Gafieira movements.
We rotate partners regularly (unless you prefer to stay with one), which helps improve leading and following skills. The atmosphere is friendly and fun, with time for questions and personal feedback. We always finish with a short practice session so you can dance freely and apply what you’ve learned.
Social Dancing
After the classes, stick around for open dancing! We’ll play a diverse mix of music styles including salsa, bachata, forró, merengue, reggaeton, and more — giving you the perfect opportunity to practice and develop your new dance moves.
