Resonant Earth envisions a world where all communities live in harmonious vibration with their environment.
At the end of 2026, we’ll travel to Mauritania to build a music studio in the M’berra refugee camp, home to thousands of Tuareg people who fled conflict in Mali. This benefit event supports that mission.
Music is a key element of Tuareg culture. Not just as art, but as oral history, spiritual expression, and resistance. Yet in times of conflict, Tuareg communities have repeatedly been denied the right to play music, with extremist groups imposing bans and silencing traditions.
This project aims to restore that right by building a fully equipped music studio in M’berra, in close collaboration with the Malian cultural organization Tadiazt, founded by the family of our partner Abdallah. The studio will offer a space where music can be recorded, shared, and passed on as a powerful form of cultural resilience and hope.
The studio will be built with technical and financial support from Belgium and in active partnership with local musicians and community members. Tadiazt, which already runs a music studio in Bamako, will ensure long-term continuity on the ground.
In addition to building the studio, we plan to organize a creative residency in the camp to collaborate with Tuareg musicians and film a short documentary about the role of music in exile.
Through music, we hope to strengthen cultural identity, process trauma, and build an artistic network that transcends borders🙏
This project is initiated by Resonant Earth in close collaboration with vzw ForAPurpose, based on the needs voiced by the community itself, with a strong focus on sustainability, gender equality and local collaboration.
