Trustworthy AI for Science and Health - Are we there yet?

Modern AI in the form of Large Language and Multi-Modal Models have made huge advances in capabilities and are becoming widely used to support different needs in scientific research and in health care, particularly for knowledge-intensive tasks. However, these models still suffer from characteristic problems such as incorrect and variable responses. In this Café Scientifique we will explore togher with our speaker Prof. Janna Hastings the current and anticipated future of these challenges and how they can be mitigated.
