This ceremony is woven into the energy of Samhain, Halloween and Dia de los Muertos, A sacred turning point of the year when the veil between worlds grows thin. It is a powerful time for reflection, honoring our ancestors, and embracing both the light and the shadows within ourselves.

Cacao is not just a drink, she is a gentle but powerful medicine for the heart. The spirit of cacao, known by the Maya as I’x, guides us with softness into our inner landscapes. She helps us see clearly what we are ready to release, and gives us the courage to step into transformation with compassion.
Physically, cacao nourishes us with magnesium, iron, and antioxidants, supporting relaxation, vitality, and renewal. Spiritually, she opens the heart and connects us with the cycles of nature.

• Sharing circle to set our intentions for letting go
• Release ritual: writing down what we wish to release on paper and burning it to
symbolically let it go
• Grounding meditation and breathwork to connect with body and earth
• Drinking the cacao, lovingly prepared with a blend of warming spices
• Shamanic drum journey to meet the wisdom of the shadow and invite transformation
• Closing ritual with oracle cards and sharing, anchoring the new space within.

Samhain teaches us that death is not an end, but a transformation. By letting go of what no longer serves, we create fertile soil for what wishes to be born. This cacao ceremony is an invitation to honor your own cycles, and to step into the mystery with trust.

Andrea is a ceremonialist and herbalist rooted in both Latin American and European ancestral traditions. She studied natural medicine and shamanism, learning from Kichwa elders in the Amazon, Afro-Colombian herbalists, and taitas (spiritual leaders) - as well as from the wise women and plant teachings of her own European lineage. Guided by the spirit of cacao, she creates sacred spaces for heart connection, healing, and remembrance.
