Free Playwriting Workshop

Playwriting allows writers to tell stories using a unique medium — live performance. But how to work in that form and develop a play? This one-session class reviews the fundamentals of narrative structure, with a focus on the creation of a play for performance. Participants will read a short play in real time, analyze its structure, and develop a short story of their own, with a focus on how that story might become a short play!
