Njihovi radovi kroz intimne, autentične fotografske priče o identitetu, pripadnosti i svakodnevnom životu prikazuju kako mlade generacija sa Zapadnog Balkana vide, propituju i doživljavu ideju Evrope.
Projekat su pokrenule ambasade Kraljevine Nizozemske u zemljama Zapadnog Balkana, s ciljem da kroz vizualno novinarstvo i umjetnost podstaknu dijalog o evropskoj budućnosti regiona. U vremenu kada dezinformacije i stereotipi često oblikuju javnu percepciju evropskih integracija, ovi mladi autori donose iskrene i slojevite priče koje prikazuju stvarnost života u društvima u tranziciji.
Tokom projekta, učesnici su prošli kroz radionice, razgovore i zajednički proces stvaranja pod mentorstvom Ilvy Njiokiktjien, nagrađivane holandske dokumentarne fotografkinje, Canon ambasadorice i saradnice Fondacije VII.
Na otvaranju će govoriti Anne-Marije van de Staaij, zamjenica ambasadora Kraljevine Nizozemske u Bosni i Hercegovini, i Ziyah Gafić, regionalni direktor VII Akademije.
Regionalni partneri na projektu su Fondacija VII (Bosna i Hercegovina), Udruženje novinara Kosova, PhotoCG (Crna Gora), Blerta Kambo /imagine (Albanija), Makedonski centar za fotografiju i Belgrade Photo Month (Srbija).

Opening on November 20 at 7:00 PM at the City Museum of Zenica, the exhibition "Are We There Yet – What Are the Road Signs to the EU?" brings together thirty young photographers from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia.
Their work explores how the young generation from the Western Balkans sees, questions, and experiences the idea of Europe – through intimate, authentic photographic stories about identity, belonging, and everyday life.
The project was initiated by the Embassies of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in the Western Balkans to encourage dialogue about the region’s European future through visual journalism and art. In an era when misinformation and stereotypes often shape public perceptions of EU integration, these young authors offer genuine and nuanced stories that reflect the realities of life in societies in transition.
Throughout the project, participants engaged in workshops, discussions, and collaborative creation under the mentorship of Ilvy Njiokiktjien, award-winning Dutch documentary photographer, Canon Ambassador, and contributor to The VII Foundation.
Opening remarks will be delivered by Anne-Marije van de Staaij, Deputy Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Ziyah Gafić, Regional Director of The VII Academy.
Regional partners of the project are The VII Foundation (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Association of Journalists of Kosovo, PhotoCG (Montenegro), Blerta Kambo /imagine (Albania), Macedonian Centre for Photography, and Belgrade Photo Month (Serbia).
