Our 'Artist of the Month' for December 2025 is The Art Loft:
The Art Loft, at 26 N 3rd St, rear, is a working studio and gallery for Linda Graham, Sally Luburgh, Susan Nash and Susan Stubbins. They share a creative drive that is enriched by their sense of community, collaborative spirit, and their eagerness to support and promote each other and other artists.
Susan Stubbins is a mixed media artist. She works in paper collage and fabrics creating works that have been inspired by landscapes. Her work encourages the viewer to look closer and find their own meaning.
Susan Nash, a textile and mixed-media artist, is currently sharing her “Consider the Earth” series. Seven of the eight textile pieces features a silk screen image of Chief Sitting Bull, who, for Susan, epitomizes the native way of caring for the earth and all its
inhabitants. This series is a plea and a reminder that we must all do our best to live more peacefully and sustainably.
Sally Luburgh is a weaver focusing on creating items to use in your daily life. She loves to use the items she makes and hopes other people do to. It is very luxurious to have an item that not only
functions well but is a joy to use.
Linda Graham is a mixed media artist favoring alcohol ink and encaustics. Her love of the outdoors and nature is reflected in the flowers and abstract landscapes she creates. You will find the use of brightly colored inks and encaustics a hallmark of her work.
Musical Guest: Dr. Laura Schumann, of Dr. Laura’s Musical Adventures. Refreshments by Mary Ramos. We are eager to welcome you to our studio to share our work and process.
